A recent study conducted by the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism in Denmark examined the trends in fracture incidence rates among men and women with type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1D) and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2D) between 1997 and 2017. The researchers found that the incidence of fractures decreased in men with both types of diabetes and in women with T2D. However, the incidence of fractures remained stable in women with T1D. These findings highlight the need for further investigation into the factors contributing to the stable trend observed in women with T1D. [Extracted from the article]
